THE TEA ROOM

QVB- SYDNEY

MORNING TEA

MORNING TEA

PROPERTY

The Tea Room is located on the 3rd floor of Sydney's historic Queen Victoria Building in the city centre. The building is absolutely stunning- full of crystal chandeliers, deep rich velvet armchairs and crisp white linen tablecloths. The decor really sets the tone for a morning of indulgence.

FOOD

We opt for morning tea rather than afternoon tea. Firstly you are served a pot of tea (of choice), served with brown and white sugar cubes. You then are presented with a a three tiered cake stand, full of delicious goodies to share. There is the top layer of sweet, a second layer of savoury and the bottom layer of sweet to finish it off. Delicacies include a cheese and chive tart, assorted finger sandwiches, macaroons, shortbread and strawberry mousse biscuits, coffee layer cakes, chocolate ganache tarts, fruit and custard tartlets and orange and poppyseed cakes. I literally loved every single one- delicious. They were seriously indulgent, rich and flavourful. Everything we would have hoped for in a treat like morning tea- after all, it's not an every day event!

SERVICE

Very professional and not over the top. They serve you and leave you be, which we liked. Overall really pleasant and unobtrusive.

OVERALL

I would definitely recommend The Tea Room for a treat- its a really nice establishment for a special occasion and the food is divine. Morning tea is served from 10am-12 midday, afternoon tea is all day. Gluten free options also available.
