QANTAS CLUB

SYDNEY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

The Qantas club in Sydney is one of the nicest airport lounges I have experienced. I received 2 complimentary passes through a credit card company and we were able to use them on a Jetstar flight to Bali (Qantas club passes can be used on any JQ or QF flight numbers- you must be flying on the same day and have 1 pass per person). The business lounge has a very open plan with a fresh, crisp design- it automatically puts you in a great mood to start your holiday. You have a fantastic view overlooking the planes on the tarmac- which I could happily just spend hours looking at- especially when its from the comfort of the Qantas club!

We head straight to the bar (surprise!), where there are many options of beer, wine, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages. I grab a crisp glass of Marlborough wine and my husband is in beer heaven. We then make a beeline to the hot food buffet. There is lots on offer- curries, noodles, rice and vegetable dishes- there is something for everyone. The cold selection is great too- salads, cheeses, crackers and gourmet breads. It doesn't stop there- the desserts are also divine! I select the melted chocolate tower over fruit and stop myself from putting a chocolate ganache cake on my plate. I want to be able to squeeze into my seat on the plane, and I have seriously had my fair share. Full and happy, I quickly pinch myself- how good is this? Lovely food, wine and on our way to Bali- life couldn't be better!

Its a busy day at the lounge, but staff seem to be coping very well- lots of cleaning staff and there are plenty of seats available for everyone. I make a quick trip to the very modern and stylish bathroom before we make our way to the gate. To my surprise we have actually been in the Qantas Club nearly 2 hours and we have loved every second. I would definitely recommend making the most of this club and arriving at least 2 hours ahead of schedule. On my list of to dos: Qantas First Class lounge!
