EMIRATES LOUNGE

ROME

My husband and I were lucky enough to be flying business class on Emirates from Rome to Dubai, giving us access to the Business Class Lounge prior to our (evening) flight out of Italy. What a way to leave Rome! Complimentary food and wine, in a luxurious setting- I'm there faster than you can say.........complimentary I guess?

This particular Emirates Lounge has recently undergone a makeover and is exactly what you would expect from a Business Class Lounge. Immaculate setting, beautiful quality food, very professional service, helpful staff and a comfortable layout. It is visually appealing and has a real sense of calm- the perfect environment to start your journey.

We were greeted by the (very straight faced) man at the counter- and proceeded through to the main area of the lounge. You can tell the lounge has recently been refurbished- everything is in amazing condition and is really sleek and modern. You are given a WIFI code and the internet access was easy to connect and speedy.

The food was out of this world- so tasty and the selection has something for everyone- vegetarians, meat lovers and kids. I start with a cheese plater, two pasta dishes with roast vegetables and a tiramisu for dessert. As you can tell I was really counting my calories that day! I had 2 glasses of crisp chardonnay before the flight, Jase had 2 beers (great alcohol selection). Staff are always on hand to pour you wine or help you serve the food too.

The bathrooms are very modern and spotless- individual rolled up hand towels, quality hand products, well lit mirrors and fresh flowers. 

This lounge seriously rivals my favourite- the Qantas Club in Sydney- we just loved it and can highly recommend it if you get the chance. Great experience all round!
